The former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, along with 36 other candidates, has been officially affirmed as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearers for the upcoming State House of Assembly elections.
Dajoh, who resigned as Speaker in August 2025 following a leadership crisis and later defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC), will now contest the Gboko West State Constituency seat under the PDP platform.

The affirmation of consensus candidates was announced on Saturday by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Bright Yima Antyo. Among those listed is Bemgba Iortyom, the PDP’s media consultant in the state, who will run for the Mata State Constituency.
The list includes candidates across various constituencies, such as Ayo Jeremiah Terungwa (Kwande East), Igbaakaa Aondoakura James (Konshisha I), and John Anthony Ikwulono (Agatu), among others.
