Nigeria Is Failing Its Future

Nigeria’s educational system is becoming a serious concern. In some schools, the quality of teaching is not where it should be, and this is something the government cannot continue to overlook.

There are teachers who are not properly motivated because of poor working conditions and, in some cases, delayed salaries. When teachers are not paid when they should be, it can affect their morale and their willingness to give their best. Government needs to take responsibility by ensuring that teachers are properly trained, supported and paid on time.

But teachers also have a responsibility. No matter the challenges, once you are employed and being paid to teach, you must do the work you were employed to do. Children should not suffer because of the failures of the system.

Education is not something Nigeria can afford to play with. These children are the future generation, and they are the people who will eventually take over the responsibilities we hold today.

If the educational system is damaged, the consequences will not stop in the classroom. It will affect the future of the entire country.

Government must act, and teachers must also play their part. We cannot continue to neglect the people we are preparing to carry Nigeria forward.
