Ronaldo’s Biggest Strength Could Become His Biggest Weakness

France World Cup winner Bixente Lizarazu believes the blame for the controversies surrounding Portugal’s national team should be shared between Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese Football Federation (PFF), and coach Jorge Jesus.

Lizarazu also believes Ronaldo needs to be honest about his age, health and physical condition. Despite being regarded as an exceptional footballer and athlete, he said Ronaldo must recognise the changes that come with age.

According to Lizarazu, Ronaldo’s strong ego has been one of the biggest reasons he continues to push himself extremely hard.

However, he warned that the same ego that has driven Ronaldo’s success could eventually become his worst enemy if his physical strength begins to fail him.
