The 2027 elections are approaching, and as usual, promises will soon fill the air. But beyond the promises, how many Nigerians will take the time to think carefully about the people they want to lead them?
Voting is more than choosing a party or following the decision of friends and family. It is about making a choice based on what you believe is right for your future and the future of the country.
Before you cast your vote, ask yourself: Do you understand the person you are supporting? Do you know what they stand for? Are you looking at their promises alone, or are you considering whether they can be held accountable for those promises after the election?

Do not allow anyone to choose for you. Your vote is your decision, and you should understand the responsibility that comes with it. Elections will come and go, campaign promises will be made, and new leaders will emerge. But when the celebrations are over, the people will still have to live with the decisions made at the ballot box.
As 2027 approaches, remember that your vote is not just about who wins an election; it is also about the future you want to see. Think carefully before you make your choice.

Nigerians often complain about bad government. When one government is in power, citizens complain that the government is not doing well. But the moment that government leaves and another one takes over, some people begin to say, “When this person was around, Nigeria was far better.” Why does this keep happening? Why do we continue to complain without asking ourselves what we can also do to make Nigeria better?
