Ahmed Galadima has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 elections, securing a decisive victory in the party’s primary.
The Chairman of the APC Governorship Primary Committee for Adamawa announced the results on Friday.
According to Naija News, Galadima polled 414,444 votes, defeating his closest rivals Abdulrazak Namdas (86,004 votes) and Abdulrahman Haske (65,934 votes) by a wide margin.
Galadima’s path to victory was further cleared after three aspirants stepped down in his favor before the primary: Engr. Diaulhaq Abubakar, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, and Alhaji Ibrahim Bello Thul.
The APC flagbearer had resigned from his position as Executive Secretary and CEO of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) about two months ago to pursue his governorship ambition.
