Nigeria’s opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been thrown into renewed political tension as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, issued a stern warning to the Turaki-led faction over plans to open a secretariat bank account.
Wike insisted that any structure operating outside what he described as the party’s legitimate authority would not be tolerated, threatening that the proposed secretariat could be sealed if due process is ignored.
His remarks have further escalated an already fragile internal crisis within the party.
