Aniocha/Oshimili Reps: Emergence of Isioma Ndah as NDC Candidate Unsettles Elumelu's Campaign Council

Emerging reports are indicative that the emergence of Theodora Isoma Ndah as NDC House of Representatives candidate for Aniocha/Oshimili federal constituency, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate Ndudi Elumelu has been reportedly unsettled.

A social Facebook user, one Odiachi Fidel, made a reaction to a post saying the emergence of Ndah popularly known as TIN has heavily unsettled the political camp of Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, the House of Representatives candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC).

"This is a landslide victory for the Amazon….. Elumelu is been very unsettled since her emergence, so he knows what to expect." His post explains the fear in the camp of Elumelu.

Actually, there are fears that the APC may lose the federal constituency to the NDC candidate as it happened during the 2023 general elections. And there are facts to attest to that.

In the 2023 general elections, Ndudi Elumelu was candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Ordinarily he was billed to win the election in line with PDP usual tactics of winning elections in Delta state, since the state has been a PDP state since 1999.

But very unfortunately for him, the wave of the Obidient Movement powered by the then candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, swept him off his feet, losing terribly to Ngozi Okolie, the Labour Party candidate in the election.

Though the Labour Party candidate never did much campaigns, due to his financial status then, members of the Obidient movement with tired Nigerians voted for the line up of the Labour Party since the National assembly election is usually held same day with presidential elecion.

A woman who voted on that day revealed that many of them voted generally for the Labour Party not minding who was the candidate or not, as far as it was Labour Party, the party of Peter Obi. That was how Ndudi Elumelu lost out in the 2023 elections.

This time, there are fears in Elumelu's camp that 2023 may repeat itself even with greater force, since Nigerians are very much unhappy with the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration. The APC reforms have been disturbing to many Nigerians.

Elumelu's camp is believed to nurse the fear that the same movement that threw him out in 2023 could be more forceful this time to throw him out of the race. And the present candidate of the NDC, the same Peter Obi's party may also root him out of the race in the January 2027 elections.

Here lies the fear of the Elumelu campaign council. It will be embarrassing for him to be defeated a second time and by a woman of no mean repute.

Theodora Isoma Ndah was a former member of the APC. She obtained the APC form but she observed that the politics in the APC would push her off the primaries, she quickly defected to the NDC and obtained the House of Representatives form under the NDC.
