Sandbag Murder Case: Sis Nkem Adu Calls for Fairness as People React to the Incident

Sis Nkem Adu has called for fairness in the way people discuss the case of a young woman whose boyfriend allegedly killed her and tied her body inside a sandbag.

She made the statement during an interactive session at Jesus Never Fails Prayer Ministry Worldwide, located at 203, 2nd Avenue, opposite Globus Bank, Lagos State.

During the programme, Sis Nkem Adu said Ebonyi State should not be blamed because of the actions of one person. According to her, bad things happen in different parts of Nigeria, and no state should be judged based on the actions of one individual.

She mentioned other incidents to support her point, including a case involving a woman who allegedly put an egg in her child's private part, a father who raped his daughter on Enugu Street, and a woman who allegedly beat her child with a cable.

She argued that people should not focus only on negative incidents associated with Ebonyi State while ignoring similar incidents that happen elsewhere. She added that every state has both good and bad people.

Speaking about the sandbag murder case, Sis Nkem Adu suggested that the man might have believed that nobody else should have the woman except him. She also suggested that he might have spent a lot on the relationship and genuinely loved her. However, these were her personal thoughts about what might have influenced the man's actions, not confirmed facts about his motive.

She also advised men to accept it when a woman decides to end a relationship. According to her, if a woman no longer wants to be with a man, he should allow her to leave because someone better may come into his life.

Sis Nkem Adu further recalled how her parents discouraged them from attending a crusade in Umuahia when they were younger because of what they believed about the people there. She used the experience to explain how people can develop negative opinions about an entire community.

She maintained that Ebonyi State should not be judged by the actions of individuals, stressing that good and bad people can be found everywhere.

Her message was that people should consider individual actions fairly rather than blame an entire state whenever a negative incident occurs.
