Senior Advocate Oba Maduabuchi has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) does not have the constitutional right to disqualify candidates.
According to him, to properly understand the powers of a body like INEC, reference must be made to the Electoral Act and the 1999 Constitution, where the powers and responsibilities of the electoral body are clearly outlined.
