PDP Warns Wike as Party Plans Disciplinary Action

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned that it will punish members who work against the party, with party chieftain Emmanuel Ogidi naming the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as one of those who could face action.

Ogidi gave the warning on Wednesday during an interview on Arise Television while speaking about the crisis rocking the party. He accused Wike of supporting the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) despite being associated with the PDP.

“You can't serve two masters,” Ogidi said, adding that the party would soon take action against members working against its interests.

He said the PDP would no longer tolerate indiscipline but stressed that efforts to reconcile members would continue.

Ogidi also said the party had moved on from the demands made by Wike's camp.

Despite defections, court cases and disagreements within its ranks, he insisted that the PDP remained strong and was working towards a successful national convention ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general elections.
