Wike Labels Atiku-Amaechi Ticket ‘Joint Ticket of Corruption’

FCT Minister and former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has described the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ticket of Atiku Abubakar and former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, as a “joint ticket of corruption.”

Wike made the statement on Monday during town hall meetings with the Rumueme and Apara Kingdoms in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. According to Wike, the ADC may struggle to secure the constitutionally required 25 per cent of votes in Rivers State. He also dismissed the opposition coalition, describing it as a coalition built around politicians with questionable records.

Reacting to Atiku’s comment about Nigerians accepting money offered by the party in power, Wike questioned whether Atiku had now become an apostle of anti-corruption.

Wike said there was no need for anyone to “kill yourself” over the political situation, stressing that whatever God had decided would happen would happen.

The FCT Minister also described Atiku, Peter Obi and other opposition figures as unelectable.
