Onanuga Questions Atiku’s Economic Knowledge After Criticism of Tinubu

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, has questioned former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar’s knowledge of economics following his criticism of the president’s economic policies.

According to information reaching Next Africa Daily, Onanuga said Atiku’s only qualification before joining the Nigeria Customs Service was as a sanitary inspector.

Onanuga raised questions about Atiku’s understanding of economics in response to the former vice-president’s recent comments on the Nigerian economy.

The presidential aide also defended Tinubu’s economic reforms, maintaining that the policies were producing results.

He urged Nigerians not to be distracted by Atiku’s criticism of the government’s economic direction.

The exchange highlights the continuing disagreement between the presidency and the opposition over the state of Nigeria’s economy.
