Sokoto Professor Dumps ADC for APC

Professor Aminu Ibrahim has defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general election.

Ibrahim, a former rector of Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic in Sokoto State, is also a professor of mathematics at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.

His defection was welcomed by the Sokoto State APC Chairman, Haruna Sarkin-Gobir Adiya, who described the move as a boost to the party's membership.
