Wike: I Chased Lawal Out Of PDP

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said he chased Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal out of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Wike made the statement during a media parley on Tuesday, following Lawal's reference to him as "that guy".

According to Wike, Lawal could not withstand him despite his financial resources.

"He had money, plus the other money I heard he was keeping for somebody. Ask him, he ran away from PDP," Wike said.

Wike added that he had done Lawal a favour, recalling that the governor had accused him of destroying the PDP for the benefit of the All Progressives Congress (APC), before joining the party.
