Authorities stated that Bogale openly identified himself online as a member of the militia, and his immigration case was eventually dismissed by a judge in Baltimore, clearing the way for his deportation. U.S. officials said the action reflects increased scrutiny of foreign nationals who use online platforms to promote extremist violence or ethnic persecution.
