Have you ever looked at someone and assumed that everything was fine, without knowing what the person was going through?
The truth is that some people are carrying burdens they cannot easily explain. They smile, go to work and attend to their responsibilities, yet they may be struggling with worries and personal challenges.
Sometimes, when you hear what someone has been going through, you may wonder how the person has managed to cope.
As Nigerians, we face different pressures while trying to make ends meet and achieve our goals. However, we must remember that our mental health matters too.
Let me use myself as an example.

Sometimes, when I write articles continuously, my brain becomes tired, and fresh ideas become difficult to develop. But when I rest, sleep and wake up, I often find it easier to think clearly and come up with new ideas.
This reminds me that we cannot continue working without giving ourselves time to rest.
We should also learn to treat people with kindness because we may not know the struggles they are facing. If you feel overwhelmed, take a break, talk to someone you trust and seek help when necessary.
Dear Nigerians, your dreams and responsibilities are important, but your well-being matters too. You do not have to exhaust yourself trying to get everything done. Give yourself some rest. Your sanity matters.
