One of the All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants for the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in Ondo State, Mr. Ghani Arobo, has rejected the outcome of the party’s House of Representatives primary election.
The exercise, held on Saturday in Owo, saw Mr. Kayode Ijalana declared the winner with 7,098 votes, while Arobo polled just 75 votes.
In a statement issued by the Director General of the Ghani Rotimi Arobo Campaign Organisation, Mr. Ayo Ilevare, the process was described as flawed and an assault on democracy. The campaign alleged manipulation and falsification of results before the final announcement.

The statement read: “The so-called results being paraded are a sham, cooked up to subvert the people’s will. We reject them entirely.
This is not democracy but an attack on the democratic process.” The group insisted that their agents recorded a landslide victory across polling units, reflecting the true wishes of the people of Owo-Ose for better representation.
They warned that any attempt to impose a false outcome through manipulation or backroom deals would not stand.
