Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is facing mounting political tension after women and youth groups in Ondo State’s Odigbo region issued a fierce warning against any attempt to tamper with the outcome of the party’s primary elections.
The groups accused unnamed political forces of plotting to manipulate the democratic process behind the scenes, insisting that the votes and voices of party members must be respected.
They warned that any effort to alter the results could spark anger among supporters and deepen internal divisions already threatening unity within the governing party.
