The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially opened a petition window for aspirants dissatisfied with the outcome of the party’s just-concluded House of Representatives primary elections.
The APC National Assembly Primary Appeal Committee for Imo State, chaired by Tuoyo Omatstuli, with Hon. Godwin Anaughe serving as Secretary, announced on Sunday that all complaints must be submitted on Monday, May 18, 2026.
In a statement released by the committee, aspirants are invited to bring their petitions to the APC State Secretariat located at 47 Okigwe Road, Owerri, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the specified date. The appeal committee, which has been formally inaugurated, was mandated to receive and address grievances arising from the primaries held on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The committee emphasized that petitions will only be entertained within the stipulated timeframe, and aspirants are strongly advised to appear in person and submit their complaints promptly.
The statement read: “Aspirants who intend to appeal the outcome of the primary elections are hereby enjoined to ensure that petitions/complaints are submitted and to appear before the committee within the specified period.”
