Landslide in Lagos: Lawmaker-Elect Olaitan Folorunsho Hails “Hitch-Free” APC Primaries, Vows Grassroots Revolution

In a resounding show of political muscle, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Amuwo-Odofin Constituency I, Olaitan Folorunsho, has showered encomiums on the party’s leadership following a flawless primary election that saw him emerge as the flag bearer for the 2027 Lagos State House of Assembly race.

Folorunsho, popularly known as OlaWestern, didn’t just win he conquered. The lawmaker-elect polled a staggering 3,161 votes out of 3,303 cast, leaving three other aspirants in the dust to clinch the party’s ticket with a near-unanimous mandate.

Speaking with an air of gratitude and determination at a press conference on Tuesday at his constituency office in Lagos, the APC standard-bearer praised delegates, party stalwarts, and supporters for orchestrating what he called a “peaceful and credible exercise.”

“I am deeply honored by the massive turnout, the overwhelming show of love, and the seamless support during this hitch-free primary process,” Folorunsho beamed.

His triumph has since ignited a wave of commendations from stakeholders and supporters across the constituency, who view his emergence as a game-changer for the APC ahead of the general elections.

The charismatic candidate issued a clarion call for unity, urging party members and residents to remain glued together in their quest for victory in the January 2027 polls. “We must continue to support candidates who possess the experience and capacity to move this constituency forward. Our focus should remain on strengthening the party and ensuring victory at the polls,” he declared.

But Folorunsho isn’t just banking on party loyalty he’s banking on a vision. If elected into the Lagos State House of Assembly, he promises to unleash a wave of grassroots development and empowerment programs. “My mission is to champion grassroots development, empowerment initiatives, and projects that will positively impact the lives of our people,” he vowed.

The APC candidate also took a moment to praise President Bola Tinubu’s visionary leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that ongoing infrastructural strides and government policies are already energizing the economy.

Party leaders and supporters were quick to attribute his landslide victory to a potent mix of grassroots popularity, deep community engagement, and unwavering loyalty to the APC over the years.

With his emergence, Folorunsho is now the man to beat for the Amuwo-Odofin Constituency I seat in 2027, as confidence swells among supporters that effective representation is finally on the horizon.
