Landslide Victory: Governor Kefas Clinches APC Governorship Ticket in Taraba with Over 166,000 Votes

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has emerged as the standard-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming governorship election, following a decisive victory in the party’s primary election held across the state.

Kefas secured an overwhelming 166,357 votes, leaving his closest rival, Mu’azu Jaji, far behind with 4,110 votes. The outcome was announced on Friday after a smooth and widely accredited voting process.

In his acceptance speech shortly after being declared the winner, Governor Kefas described the primary as a victory for democracy and extended an olive branch to fellow contestants and their supporters.

“The contest is now over. The time has come for unity and collective action toward the continued development of our state,” he said.

He expressed deep appreciation to the national and state leadership of the APC for their trust and confidence in his administration. He also thanked the people of Taraba State for their continued support, pledging to remain steadfast in his commitment to good governance.

Governor Kefas reaffirmed that his leadership would continue to be guided by fairness, humility, and a genuine dedication to the welfare and progress of all residents.

He promised to build on the achievements of his current administration and sustain policies and programmes designed to improve lives across the state.
