Umahi challenges Obi comparison: What makes him better than me

According to Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, Peter Obi is a lucky man, saying that no reasonable person would insult or isolate the former Anambra State governor.

Umahi said people who challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration should not expect those working with the President to keep quiet when they believe he is doing his job.

He also questioned the claim that Peter Obi is “not his match.” According to Umahi, those making such a statement should put the two men side by side and examine where the difference is. He questioned whether it was in their family background, extended family background or intellectual capacity.

Umahi also questioned those who present themselves as holier than others, asking whether anyone could truly claim to be more holy. On the issue of an Igbo presidency, Umahi said the time had not yet come for the Igbo to produce the President of Nigeria. According to him, this is Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s time and he must complete his tenure.

Umahi said that while Tinubu is working, he and others working with the President are also doing their own work. He added that the Igbo would have their time and, when that time comes, God would make things right and beautiful.
