Churchgoer spots students campaigning for Peter Obi, says youths want a better Nigeria

Ezeh Sunday, a resident of Abakaliki, has shared his observation after seeing students campaigning for Peter Obi on Sunday while he was on his way to church.

According to him, the students appeared determined as they expressed their views about the country's future. Some of them were heard shouting, "We know what we want. We know what we are looking for. You don't need to tell us what we need."

Sunday said the incident caught his attention, particularly at a time when many Nigerians are struggling with hunger, hardship and concerns about their welfare. He observed that young people are increasingly concerned about the direction of the country and want a system where their voices can be heard without fear.

He also expressed concern about the state of democracy in Nigeria, saying citizens should be free to express their opinions, demand their rights and hold leaders accountable.

He noted that democracy should reflect the wishes of the people and serve their interests.

The observation was shared with Next Africa Daily as a reminder that many young Nigerians have concerns about the country's future and want their voices to count.
