Ebonyi students enjoy reduced school fees under current governor, Ezeh Sunday says

A resident of Ebonyi State, Ezeh Sunday, has praised the current state government for efforts to improve education and other sectors, pointing to reduced school fees at Ebonyi State University as one of the changes recorded.

Speaking during an interview, Sunday said students of Ebonyi State University were among those who could testify to the changes, noting that the reduction in school fees and construction projects within the institution were signs of ongoing improvements.

He maintained that the current governor was doing something for the state, contrary to claims by some people that his administration had achieved nothing.

Sunday also acknowledged the contributions of successive governors, particularly former governor David Umahi, whom he described as having made remarkable contributions to Ebonyi State.

According to him, every administration has played a role in the state's development, adding that the level of progress recorded since Ebonyi State was created showed that things had changed significantly.

He further pointed to agriculture as another area where the state was making efforts, describing Ebonyi people as hardworking individuals who were determined to build a better future.

Speaking on discrimination against Ebonyi people, Sunday said residents were becoming more confident and willing to defend their identity whenever they faced negative comments.

He explained that, unlike in the past when some people might have remained silent, more Ebonyi people were now willing to speak up and express pride in their state.

He added that the state had experienced visible changes and expressed optimism about its future, urging people to recognise the contributions of different administrations rather than dismissing their efforts.
