Don't Just Go to Church, Learn to Live Like Christ

Happy Sunday and Happy New Month, November!

Dear Next Africa Daily readers, every Sunday is a time to rest, reflect and give thanks to God, who remains the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

As we welcome a new month, let this message remain in your heart: Never judge a container by its appearance; look at what is inside. Good things do not always come in beautiful shapes or attractive packages. Sometimes, what becomes great has to pass through a process before reaching its full potential.

Also, remember that Christianity is more than attending church every Sunday. Do not be the kind of Christian who goes to church with divisions in mind, deciding who to talk to and who to avoid because of political differences or personal interests. The church should not become a place where people are separated by APC, PDP or other political affiliations.

Instead, let your actions reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ. Before judging, rejecting or treating someone differently, ask yourself: What would Jesus do if He were physically present today? Do not just carry the name of a Christian; become a true believer who lives, loves and follows the footsteps of Christ.

As we begin November, may God give us wisdom, understanding and the grace to become better people. Happy Sunday and Happy New Month!
