A driver who stopped to help a stranger on an expressway reportedly lost his car to thieves, an experience that has made many drivers afraid of stopping to help people on the road.
Okorafo Monday, an Anambra resident, shared this information during an interview with Next Africa Daily on November 2, 2026.
He explained that some drivers are not unwilling to help people but are afraid of the dangers involved. According to him, a friend once stopped to help someone on the road. Unfortunately, his car was stolen while he was trying to assist the person. The vehicle has not been recovered till today.
