Child dies of malaria as parents rely on paracetamol

Sunday Ezeh from Abakaliki has raised concerns over parents' attitude towards children's health following the death of a child from malaria.

According to the information shared by Sunday Ezeh, the child died after the parents reportedly continued giving the child paracetamol without taking the child to a hospital for proper medical examination.

She urged parents to pay closer attention to their children's health and avoid treating every illness with paracetamol or drugs bought from nearby chemists without proper medical advice.

She noted that although taking care of children comes with financial challenges, parents must make their health a priority because delaying proper medical attention can put their lives at risk.

She also encouraged parents to monitor their children's health and take them to the hospital whenever they notice signs of illness.
