Wike Names 3 Candidates He Says Can Win Big in 2027 FCT Elections

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and two other candidates can win their respective elections in the Federal Capital Territory in 2027.

Wike mentioned Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda and John Gabaya alongside Tinubu while speaking with journalists in Abuja on Thursday after inspecting some ongoing projects in the FCT.

The former Rivers State governor said he has no fear about the outcome of the elections, pointing to the projects and development being carried out by the Tinubu administration in the territory.

He also urged residents to support candidates who have shown commitment to improving their lives and solving their problems. Wike said the Apo-Karshi road project, which was awarded in 2010 but delayed, is now expected to be completed by November this year.

He added that more than 10 projects are expected to be inaugurated across the FCT before the 2027 elections.
