A youth group in Eket Federal Constituency has strongly denied recent media reports that claimed Mrs. Eunice Thomas won the APC House of Representatives primary held on May 16, 2026.
The Coalition of Eket Federal Constituency Youths described the reports as sponsored propaganda aimed at distorting the truth and misleading the public.
According to a statement by the group’s spokesperson, Assam Abia, the election was conducted peacefully under the supervision of security agents and returning officers from Abuja, who officially declared Dr. Mrs. Judith Ogbara Mayen Etuk the winner by a landslide. The youths said her victory was widely celebrated across the constituency without any objections on election night.
