Ned Nwoko has launched a blistering attack on the handling of the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primaries in Delta North, alleging a calculated plot to rob him of victory despite what he described as overwhelming evidence that he won across the district.
Speaking during an explosive interview on ARISE TV, Nwoko declared that the primaries held in all 98 wards of Delta North clearly produced him as the winner, insisting that he possesses damning ward-by-ward video evidence to expose what he called a manipulated process.
“The APC primaries for Delta North took place across 98 wards. I have video evidence from ward to ward proving I won the election, and I will submit everything to the party leadership,” the senator said.
Nwoko alleged that midway into the exercise, the rules of the game were suddenly changed behind closed doors after his camp had already gained massive ground across the district.
According to him, party officials abruptly informed stakeholders that results would no longer be declared at the ward level, but would instead be moved to the national level, a move he said his camp reluctantly accepted in good faith, believing due process would prevail.
“Halfway through the process, we were told ward results would no longer be announced. We were informed that everything would be taken to the national level,” he stated.

However, the senator said what followed was nothing short of political sabotage.
In a stunning allegation, Nwoko claimed that a single ward result allegedly tied to political loyalists of former Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, was mysteriously elevated and used to determine the outcome of the entire primary election.
“Suddenly, one ward connected to the former governor became the basis for declaring the result of the entire primaries. That is completely unacceptable and fraudulent,” he alleged.
The lawmaker maintained that the authentic results from the majority of the 98 wards showed he was the clear and rightful winner, warning that attempts to overturn the will of party members could trigger serious backlash within the APC in Delta State.
The controversy surrounding the APC National Assembly primaries held on May 18, 2026, has continued to deepen nationwide, amid mounting accusations of manipulation, imposition, and backdoor political deals in several states.
Despite the growing outrage, the All Progressives Congress leadership has insisted that the National Working Committee (NWC) will review the exercise and announce the final official results after examining all reports and complaints.
