Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is set to travel to the United Kingdom for a landmark state visit, becoming the first Nigerian leader to receive such an invitation from the British monarchy in nearly four decades. The visit, hosted by King Charles III, will take place at Windsor Castle and is expected to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
President Tinubu will be accompanied by Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, as part of a two-day programme that includes ceremonial welcomes, meetings with British leaders, and discussions on trade, investment, and security cooperation.
