The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has cleared three presidential aspirants to contest its upcoming primaries, slated for Monday, May 25, as the party steps up preparations for the general elections.
Among those given the green light are former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke; renowned economist, Dr Nnaoke Ufere from Abia State; and former African Action Congress presidential candidate, Yakubu Mohammed Kingsley from Edo State.
The party announced the development on Saturday in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Muhammed Ishaq. He revealed that all three aspirants have agreed to abide by the outcome of a democratic process during the nationwide primaries.
“The three cleared presidential aspirants have convened and unanimously agreed to submit their aspirations to the will of our party members during the upcoming primaries scheduled for May 25 across all parts of the country,” Ishaq said.
