Police operatives in Delta State recorded major breakthroughs this week with the arrest of two suspected motorcycle thieves and the recovery of a vehicle loaded with vandalised materials.
The arrests were made on 31 March 2026 during a stop-and-search operation at College Junction in Agbor.
Officers intercepted two men riding a motorcycle who attempted to escape upon sighting security personnel. They were caught after a brief chase.
A search led to the discovery of a locally made cut-to-size double-barrelled gun loaded with two live cartridges.
Investigations linked the suspects to multiple motorcycle snatching incidents in the area, and both are now in custody as further inquiries continue.
