The All Progressives Congress (APC) has abruptly postponed its governorship primary election in Kwara State, which was initially set to take place on Thursday, May 21st, 2026.
The exercise has now been rescheduled for Friday, May 22nd, though the party did not provide any official reason for the last-minute change.
According to reports, mobilization efforts and voting activities had already begun in several wards across the state when the postponement announcement was made on Thursday afternoon.
The directive was contained in a statement issued by the APC State Publicity Secretary, Abdulwaheed Olawale Babatunde, causing confusion and uncertainty among party members who had already gathered at various polling centres.
