Governor Agbu Kefas has praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Taraba State, describing the exercise as exceptionally peaceful, well-coordinated, and a strong signal of growing political maturity in the state.
Speaking shortly after the conclusion of the exercise, Governor Kefas said the absence of violence, intimidation, or major disputes marked a significant improvement in Nigeria’s internal party democracy and should be sustained ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He noted that the orderly conduct of the primaries reflects what is possible when political actors commit to due process, discipline, and respect for democratic structures, adding that Taraba must continue on the path of stability and constructive political engagement.

The governor further commended APC leaders, delegates, and security agencies for what he described as “a disciplined and transparent process,” stressing that peaceful elections remain the foundation for credible governance and development.
Party stakeholders also described the primaries as one of the most organized in recent times, pointing to improved logistics, tighter coordination, and stronger adherence to electoral guidelines. Observers say the development could reshape internal dynamics within the APC in Taraba and strengthen the party’s positioning as political activities intensify toward 2027.
