Ghana has announced a landmark policy that will allow all African passport holders to enter the country visa-free starting May 25, 2026, aligning the launch with Africa Day celebrations.
The initiative, unveiled by President John Dramani Mahama, is part of Ghana’s broader strategy to strengthen regional integration and promote seamless mobility across the continent.
Under the new arrangement, travelers from African countries will complete a simplified online electronic-visa process at no cost, enabling smoother entry while preserving border security protocols.
The reform is supported by Ghana’s newly upgraded e-visa system, which aims to streamline travel procedures without compromising safety.
