Trump Threatens Jail Term for Persons Who Released Information on Missing U.S. Pilot in Iran
President Donald Trump of the United States has warned that individuals responsible for leaking sensitive information revealing a missing American pilot in Iran could face imprisonment if they fail to disclose their source.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said authorities are actively investigating the leak, which he claimed revealed critical details about the presence of a second U.S. airman on Iranian soil. According to him, the disclosure may have alerted Iranian authorities and placed the pilot’s life in greater danger.
“We’re looking very hard,” Trump said, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. He suggested that the U.S. government could take legal action to compel the media organization involved to cooperate, citing national security concerns.

“Give it up or go to jail,” he added, in reference to those responsible for publishing the leaked information.
Trump further criticized the timing of the report, noting that it disclosed details about a missing crew member before officials had publicly confirmed the situation.
He argued that the premature release of such information allowed Iran to become aware that a U.S. pilot was “somewhere on their land, fighting for his life.”
The incident has raised renewed concerns about the balance between press freedom and national security, particularly in cases involving ongoing military or intelligence operations.
