Tinubu lands in Kenya for Africa Forward Summit as leaders push new vision for Africa’s economy

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to participate in the Africa Forward Summit, a major gathering focused on the continent’s economic growth, regional cooperation and investment opportunities.

The summit brings together African presidents, policymakers, business executives and development partners to discuss strategies for boosting trade, strengthening infrastructure and accelerating Africa’s position in the global economy.

Tinubu’s participation comes at a time when African nations are seeking deeper collaboration on issues including industrialisation, youth employment, technology and regional security. Nigerian officials say the President is expected to engage with other African leaders and international investors during the high-level meetings.

The Africa Forward Summit is also expected to spotlight the role of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in expanding intra-African trade and reducing economic barriers across the continent.

Kenya has increasingly emerged as a key diplomatic and business hub in East Africa, hosting several international forums aimed at shaping Africa’s future development agenda.
